Its design is simple to understand. Its capabilities include complex machining. Doosan Infracore continues to expand its production of ever more flexible multi-function machining centers with its latest VCF850 Series. In its simplest configuration the VCF 850 or VCF 850L is a rugged 30Hp VMC with up to 118” of X axis travel and a table workload capacity of over 7,000 lbs. This same basic model may also be equipped as a full 5-axis machine with B-axis swivel (+110/-110 degrees) spindle and C-axis embedded or top mounted rotary table (full 360 degrees) in its VCF 850SR or VCF 850SRL version.
The traveling column design approach expands envelope (up to 118” of X-axis travel) while maintaining rigidity for heavy cutting. The roller linear motion guideways enable rapid rates up to 1575 ipm. The B-axis worm-gear design features 900 ft/lbs of torque, while cutting feed rates range to 50 rpm, and spindle speeds can attain 12,000rpm.
