The MA-1250H will be displayed to the public for the first time at IMTS 2014. This newest and largest model in the MA-H Series can machine parts as heavy as 11,100 lbs. and up to 79" x 63". According to Okuma, the machine is designed with balance in mind—balance between speed and cutting power to efficiently handle aluminum alloys, cast iron and exotics typically machined in the aerospace industry. Due to it's large capacity, the machine is especially suited for aerospace components.
Okuma's "Thermo-Friendly" concept has been applied to the MA-1250H to help insure thermal stability and accuracy, even during high spindle speed operations or heavy metal-removal conditions. Many of the features designed into the smaller MA-H series models demonstrated in the video have been built into the MA-1250H as well.
