Breton Matrix 800 Vertical Machining Center with dual axis articulated spindle
With three or five axis versions, and a wide range of accessories, MATRIX
features a large number of options which allow users to optimize
productivity and flexibility; and cut down on the amount of machine idle
time.
The use of heavy duty high frequency spindles, together with an extremely
rigid frame, increases the potential of this range of operators the utmost
freedom of movement in compliance with the safety regulations.
Maximum power, absolute precision and simultaneous milling on all 3
dimensions
The power and versatility of MATRIX are achieved by the wide range of
heads available which satisfy the high-speed precision machining
requirements. The twis
t heads, all featuring continuous "C" axis rotation,
allow the machine to carry out extremely complex machining operations,
working in three dimensions simultaneously. The high performances of the
head sin all machining conditions are achieved by the use of mechanisms
based on worm screw with adjusting backlash systems, driven by digital
brushless motors. The twist heads (C and A axes) allow all five faces of
the piece to be machined without changing its position, thereby reducing
machine idle times and increasing machining precision.
Two types of heads can be installed on the MATRIX:
Mod. TCM 50/18
Asymmetrical structure, 28.2 Hp, 37.6 ft-lbs in S1, speed of up to 18,000
rpm. This is supplied standard on the MATRIX1300 model and it combines
optimum power/torque/speed levels with a compact size. It is particularly
suitable for machining concave pieces with complex shapes as it allows the
tool to get extremely close to the working face.
Mod. T CF 38/24
Symmetrical structure, 26.8 Hp, 28 ft-lbs in S1, speed of up to 24,000
rpm. It is particularly suitable for machining which requires extremely
high speed. It is standard on the Matrix 800, while it is available as an
optional accessory for the 1300 model.
Consolidated experience, versatility of applications, reliability
Thanks to its consolidated experience in the use of HSC high
frequency spindles, Breton has developed technical solutions capable
of guaranteeing the maximum reliability and versatility of use.
High-performance spindles, featuring rotation speed up to 24,000 rpm
and continuous torque up to 72.3 ft-lbs, allow for uninterrupted
high-speed machining from the rough-milling up to the finishing.
Machining and finishing precision is assured by both the limited
tolerances and the thermal stability of the high frequency spindle,
inside which the tool coolant as well as the air for cleaning the
cone can flow.
