PROFILE
 

The Chiron High Volume System is produced by Chiron-WERKE GmbH Maschinenfabrik located in the Black Forest region of West Germany. Since its inception in 1898, Chiron has risen to a point of prominence among European manufacturers of machining centers, special machines, and machining units. With many years experience in the production of special machines, Chiron developed volume production technology. The factory currently is staffed with approximately 690 employees in a modern facility of approximately 466,000 square feet, expanded in 1982, 1985, 1987, 1996, and 1997.

Chiron America, Inc. was started in June of 1993 in Phoenix AZ and was moved to it's current loaction in Charlotte NC in March of 1994. Chiron America started producing machines in July 96 and is currently staffed by 75 employees and a facility of approximately 25,600 square feet, expanded in 1996, and 1998. Chiron has extensive experience in electrical, mechanical, systems, and software development engineering. Chiron maintains strong affiliations with universities and operates their own apprenticeship school within their facilities. Chiron's goal is to provide customers with machining units and systems that perform consistently, accurately, and dependably with a high degree of versatility for maximized performance and cost effectiveness.

Chiron is a division of Hoberg & Driesch GmbH, a wholly owned family corporation with a
strong foundation in diverse industries. Chiron machining systems are marketed worldwide
through their network of licensees and distributor partners.
