Doosan Machine Tools was founded in 1976. It's headquartered in Pine Brook, NJ, and maintains offices and technical service centers throughout North and South America. Doosan products are sold exclusively through a network of independent distributors located in the U.S., Canada, Mexico and Brazil.

Doosan Machine Tools's original family of machine tools included a broad selection of manual lathes and milling machines. Two years after entering into cooperative agreements with several highly respected machine tool builders, Doosan was able to introduce its first CNC lathe. By way of major capital investments in research & development, in advanced manufacturing equipment, and in technical agreements, Doosan Machine Tools product line grew to include more than 100 CNC products, including vertical and horizontal turning centers, vertical and horizontal machining centers, boring mill machines and robotics.

Throughout the metal cutting industry, Doosan Machine Tools are recognized for their integral box guideways, powerful motors, heavily ribbed Meehanite cast iron construction, and exceptional features that combine to enable trouble-free performance and world-class precision. Today, Doosan Machine Tools is one of the world's largest suppliers of sophisticated CNC equipment. With plants in Korea and the United States, each year Doosan Machine Tools manufactures and ships more than 12,000 CNC machines to 68 sales / service offices around the world.
