In 1993, SMW of Germany was acquired by Autoblok Corporation making Autoblok the sole source of original
SMW products worldwide. The resulting entity, SMW Autoblok, now provides the most complete line of power
chucks and accessories from a single source. Designed and engineered to deliver long-life performance, all
SMW Autoblok chucks feature case-hardened and ground chuck bodies. Specific models provide specialized
workholding solutions for automotive, oil field, mold-making, as well as tool and die applications. These designs
enable your turning operations to benefit from increased productivity, rapid changeovers, reduced down-time,
and lower cost per part.

SMW Autoblok products are engineered and manufactured in facilities in Italy and in Germany. Wholly-owned
subsidiaries in the United States, Japan, France, the United Kingdom, China, India, Argentina, Mexico, Spain, Russia and an affiliate company in Latin America
each provide technical/customer support, maintain extensive product inventories, and manage a local network of
distributors in every major industrial city. North American (USA, Canada and Mexico) sales and service is
located in Wheeling, Illinois, a suburb of Chicago, Illinois.
