The MC-6000 is a full feature 5-axis vertical machining center designed to be compact and capable of handling a 660-pound workpiece on a 25.6-inch table surface. The Heidenhain TNC-640 control with a 19” TFT LCD color display unit is mounted for optimal convenience with easy height adjustment. With both front and side opening doors, the MC-6000 lends itself to both manual and automated part loading and unloading. The MC-6000 is an advanced, multi-tasking 5-axis, vertical machining center with a 15,000 RPM direct drive spindle, designed for producing complicated parts at high speeds. With a 5-axis control configuration, 40-position ATC and BIG Plus CAT-40 tooling, complex machining can be accomplished on the MC-6000 in one setup. This dramatically reduces machining time, while helping you stay competitive. The highly rigid trunnion style tilt/rotary table is equipped with direct drive motors and Heidenhain rotary shaft encoders. The result is excellent accuracy when performing com plicated parts machining. The X, Y, and Z-axes are equipped with roller pack linear guideways, direct drive motors and a Heidenhain linear glass scale system for smooth linear motion and prompt detection of thermal displacement.
