The FEELER VMX Series is a versatile line of high-performance vertical machining centers engineered to deliver an outstanding combination of speed, precision, rigidity, reliability, and productivity for demanding production machining and precision part applications. Built on rigid Meehanite cast-iron structures optimized through Finite Element Analysis (FEA), VMX machines are designed for long-term dimensional stability and machining accuracy. Direct-drive spindles provide speeds up to 12,000 rpm, with 15,000-rpm options, while high-speed servo systems deliver rapid traverse rates of up to 48 m/min, helping reduce non-cutting time and improve overall throughput. The broad VMX family offers X-axis travels from 580 mm to 1,650 mm and table capacities up to 1,500 kg, allowing manufacturers to select the right machine for a wide range of workpiece sizes and production requirements. Pre-tensioned ballscrews, roller-type linear guideways, and available box-way configurations provide an effective balance of speed, rigidity, and positioning accuracy. For higher-volume production, selected VMX models are available with automatic pallet changers, including a 6-second pallet change on the VMX-580APC, enabling load/unload operations to be performed while machining continues. FEELER also offers application engineering, automation and turnkey integration capabilities to help optimize the complete manufacturing process. Optional FEELER intelligent monitoring and thermal compensation technology can minimize the effects of thermal growth, with thermal deviation controlled within 0.02 mm, supporting consistent machining quality during extended production. With multiple machine sizes, spindle configurations, automation options, tool capacities, probing, linear scales and chip-management solutions, the FEELER VMX Series provides manufacturers with a flexible, productive platform capable of supporting both high-mix machining and demanding production environments.
