The EDFH-1 builds on the ultra-precision EDAC-1 machine platform and adds Fine Hole small EDM Drilling capability. The EDFH-1 is still capable of standard Sinker EDM work, but incorporates a high-speed rotating spindle capable of 2,000 rpm, a high-pressure flush pump, and a W-Axis Die Guide support arm to facilitate high precision EDM Drilling of small holes down to 10 micron (0.0004”) diameter. The EDFH-1 is equipped with the Windows 7-based Hyper-i control, which provides a universal interface for all Makino EDM machines, and utilizes a 24” class high definition touch screen with advanced functions to enhance operator and machine performance.
