Bertsche TCV and TCH Traveling Column Machining Center High Velocity Traveling Column CNC Machining Centers The BEC Travelling Column Vertical (TCV) family of machining centers offer high speed, high rigidity, superior acceleration and accuracy, necessary for high speed machining. Modular in design, the 3 axis traveling column CNC has a large machining envelope, very high acceleration 130 in/sec2(3.3m/sec2) and high velocity (to 1700 ipm [43 m/min]) for conventional and High Velocity Machining. The traveling column approach allows single parts of virtually unrestricted weight to be machined or multiple parts to be shuttle machined eliminating the need for pallets. All spindle motions are controlled by the moving saddle, column and ram. Various configurations for spindle, table, tool management and part handling systems are available.
