The FEELER VUX Series is a high-speed, high-precision 4/5-axis vertical machining center platform designed for manufacturers producing complex, multi-surface components that would otherwise require multiple setups on conventional 3-axis machines. Available in VUX-300, VUX-300T, VUX-400, and VUX-500 configurations, the series accommodates workpieces up to Ø500 × 325 mm and is ideally suited for demanding aerospace, automotive, energy, precision mold, and complex component applications. The integrated tilting and rotary table enables multi-sided and angular machining in a single setup, reducing repetitive workpiece positioning, shortening overall processing time, and improving part accuracy by minimizing errors associated with multiple setups. It also provides improved access to undercuts and complex surfaces while allowing shorter cutting tools to be used for greater rigidity, longer tool life, and improved surface finish. VUX machines feature rigid Meehanite cast-iron construction optimized through ANSYS and NASTRAN finite element analysis, high-precision roller-type linear guideways, and a one-piece spindle head design engineered for rigidity, stability, and long-term accuracy. A 12,000-rpm direct-drive spindle with up to 18.5 kW (24.8 hp) is standard, providing the speed and performance required for productive precision machining. Available technologies include linear scales, rotary-axis angle encoders, through-spindle coolant, wireless workpiece measurement, laser tool measurement, automatic doors, and rotary-axis calibration, making the VUX well suited for advanced and automated manufacturing environments. By combining multi-axis capability, single-setup productivity, high-speed machining, rigidity, and automation readiness, the FEELER VUX Series helps manufacturers reduce setups, shorten lead times, improve part quality, and competitively produce increasingly complex components.
