The FEELER VBX Series is a heavy-duty vertical machining center platform engineered for manufacturers that require exceptional rigidity, stability, cutting capability, and long-term accuracy. Designed with three-axis, ultra-wide box ways, the VBX Series provides the structural stiffness and vibration damping needed for demanding general machining, heavy material removal, and large-part production. The machine structure is manufactured from Meehanite cast iron and optimized using Finite Element Analysis (FEM) to maximize rigidity and reliability, while hardened and precision-ground guideways with Turcite-B surfaces provide excellent wear resistance and help maintain accuracy over years of production. Available in six sizes from the VBX-1100 through VBX-2200, the series offers X-axis travels from 1,100 to 2,200 mm, with table capacities ranging from 1,300 to 2,700 kg, enabling manufacturers to machine a broad range of large and heavy workpieces. Multiple spindle configurations, including No. 40 and No. 50 tapers, belt-drive, direct-drive, and optional gear-drive spindles, allow the machine to be tailored to specific applications. The gear-drive configuration provides high torque at low spindle speeds for aggressive heavy-duty cutting while retaining higher-speed capability for finish machining. Pre-tensioned precision ballscrews, heavy-duty four- or six-box-way base designs, spindle cooling, efficient chip evacuation, and available thermal compensation further enhance machining consistency and reliability. FEELER also offers probing, linear scales, through-spindle coolant, rotary-table preparation, and automation/turnkey integration options. By combining high torque, exceptional rigidity, large workpiece capacity, configuration flexibility, and proven box-way construction, the FEELER VBX Series provides a powerful and dependable solution for manufacturers seeking productive heavy-duty machining with excellent accuracy and durability.
