Submerged-Type Large Part Wire Cut EDM

PRODUCT

The RX1065S is a large travel Gantry-style wire EDM with a travelling wire and X Y U V and Z axes and a fixed work piece.  This design allows for extra large and very heavy work pieces as the wire is moving not the work piece.  This design also allows for locating the work piece off of the machine tool, in front of the machine on a B axis, alllowing for full turn and burn of very large round work pieces, such as gears or splines. 

The large 500mm (19.6") Z axis stroke is standard on this model. 

The unique CHMER automatic wire threader (AWT) is especially suited for these large travel wire machines in that in the event of a wire break in the middle of a large cut the CHMER AWT does not need to go back to the start point, rethread, dry run back to the start, then resume the cut which is typical of most AWTs on the market, thus saving time and money. 

The T-frame design of the RX series also allows for extra weight capacity versus compound table design as well as space savings - smaller footprint.
